Everything you need to know about KeyPitch — what it does, who it's for and how pricing works.
Yes. The KeyPitch Chrome extension is completely free. The online Audio Studio and tools are free to use too — you can upload your file, preview every change and fine-tune the result at no cost. You only pay when you want to export and download the finished file.
The Chrome extension is free. The online Audio Studio is free to use and preview, and you only pay to export your edited file. You can pay per export, buy a discounted pack of exports, or take a subscription that unlocks unlimited exports and every feature.
KeyPitch is made for anyone who works with music and audio: singing teachers, vocal coaches and their students, karaoke fans, singers, musicians and artists, instrumentalists such as guitarists and pianists, as well as content creators, video editors and producers.
KeyPitch lets you change the key, pitch and speed of a song, add effects, remove vocals to create karaoke or acapella versions, and even transpose YouTube videos in real time. New tools and guides are added regularly. The Audio Studio also reads the key and tempo of every song, and on a computer its Practice mode loops a passage from A to B next to the video or the lyrics. Its 10-band equalizer has 6 presets, and an A/B loop can be saved in My recordings.
No. The online tools run directly in your browser — nothing to install and no account needed to try them. The Chrome extension is a free, lightweight add-on you can install in one click.
The online tools accept the most common audio and video formats, including MP3, WAV, M4A and MP4. When you edit a video, the picture is kept intact and only the audio is changed, so you can download the full video with its new pitch, key or speed.
Yes. The free KeyPitch Chrome extension adds a pitch and speed panel directly on YouTube, so you can transpose any video in real time while you watch or practice — no download or conversion needed. In Studio mode, the controls open in a side panel right next to the video.
The Audio Studio works with your own files: you upload a song or video, edit it, and download the result. The Chrome extension works on top of YouTube, changing the pitch and speed of videos live in your browser. The studio is free to preview with paid exports, while the extension is completely free. Its Studio mode opens it in a side panel next to the video, with a 10-band equalizer, A/B loops you can save and your practice stats.
Yes, and it is free. In the Audio Studio, click Share to get a link that opens your file with the exact settings you chose. Send it by email, WhatsApp or any messaging app — the person who receives it just opens the link and the track is there, in the right key, ready to work on. Links stay valid for 7 days, and receiving one costs nothing.
Yes. The Audio Studio keeps a personal library: save a file with its settings, reopen it any time, and sort everything into folders by drag and drop — one folder per student, per set, per anything. Without an account you keep 3 recordings in the current tab; a free account keeps 3 permanently on any computer; a subscription makes the library unlimited. The Chrome extension has its own library too, stored locally in your browser. It saves A/B loops as well as whole songs. In the Audio Studio, My recordings now saves A/B loops too: the passage reopens in Practice mode, with its equalizer and every setting.
Yes, in the Audio Studio on a computer. Switch on Practice mode in the player and an A/B loop appears: set point A and point B, then choose Infinite to repeat the passage or Single to play it once and wait on A. The video — or, for an audio file, the lyrics you paste in — takes the left of the screen and every setting stays on the right. Practice mode is free for 5 minutes a day and unlimited with a subscription, and the loop can be saved in My recordings. On YouTube, the free Chrome extension has its own loops. Its A/B loop has just been redesigned, and you can save it to reopen exactly that passage.
Yes, for free. Drop the file into the Key Finder, the BPM Finder or the Key & BPM Finder, or load it straight into the Audio Studio: the ⓘ button under the player shows the key, the relative key, the Camelot code, the tempo and the half-time and double-time readings — and follows the semitones and speed sliders as you move them.
